Which professionals could attend to the event?
The event is addressed to all researchers and students related to health related with
infectious diseases as physicians, chemists, veterinarians, biologists and all those other
professionals as social scientists, engineers and antrophologists that have any kind of
interest in the development of pathogen detection systems or medical treatment.
Is there any possibility to present a poster and what are the guidelines?
Yes, all the poster presentations (90 cm x 90 cm) could be granted by a certified and they
will presented along the event for sharing and discussion with experts. There is not cost for
presentation of the poster, however, it is necessary to submit an abstract (350 words that
includes title, authors, institutional address and email contact) during the registration for
evaluation and decision under which topic will be presented. The deadline of the poster
submission will be in October 23th.
Is there any possibility for participating in the AMRDxC event along the workshop?
Only those qualified researchers or specialists could be accepted for this event (PhD more
than 10 years, medical specialists with almost 4 years of preparation). They have to
participate in all the workshop (5 days). Early career researchers awarded their PhD not
more than 10 years ago, or equivalent level of experience or early career clinicians
(foundation doctors and registrars) with a demonstrable interest in infectious diseases
and global health. Applications are invited from eligible individuals based in Mexico and
other Latin American countries.
Applications from Mexico to participate in the workshop are now invited, and should be
submitted electronically to Dr. Javier Ambrosio (firstname.lastname@example.org) 30th September 2017,17h Mex.
Applications should consist of a two page curriculum vitae and a one page letter of
motivation, making the case for attendance and what the applicant feels they can bring
to such a gathering. Documents should be submitted in PDF format, with all documents
in one PDF package sent by email to the address above, with the phrase "Mitigating
Emerging Infection Workshop Application” in the subject. Applications will be judged on
the strength of CV and covering letter; applicants will be notified if they are successful by
16th October 2017
